BOUCHEROUITE, meaning "rag" in Moroccan Arabic, is a style of rug that is crafted by weaving dyed recycled textiles together. Traditionally, these rugs were created with bits of scraps in areas where raw materials were scarce. The designs of the rugs are inspired by the surroundings of the Berber women who create them and traditional design. Passed on from generations, this form of expressionism has become a favorite of designers.
As a vintage piece that has been woven entirely by hand, the shapes of these rugs are often known to be imperfect. This is a very vibrant runner with a keystone border and bold traditional diamonds down the center that would be great in a kitchen.
All rugs have been cleaned and restored, they are in excellent condition and have been very well preserved.
Hand picked by MarraMarket, this timeless runner could be the perfect addition to your living space.
