This beautiful vintage Moroccan floor cushion has been made using a Boucherouite rug that has been cut and sewn into a cube shaped pouf. Boucherouite, meaning "rag" in Moroccan Arabic, is a style of rug that is crafted by weaving dyed recycled textiles together. Traditionally, these rugs were created with bits of scraps in areas where raw materials were rare.
These beautiful vintage floor cushions are becoming more scarce and finding ones in this size is not common. There is a second one of the same carpet that is available, having a pair would be a great addition to a room. As this is a vintage piece, it may show some slight imperfections of shape or proportion and wear, which is part of the overall charm of this item.
This pouf has been stuffed with plastic bags to be photographed and is not stuffed to capacity.
All pieces have been cleaned and restored, they are in excellent condition and have been very well preserved. This pouf WILL NOT be shipped with filling or an insert. We suggest filling it with a cost and environmentally friendly option like any "pre-loved fabric" such as old clothing, bedding or towels. Alternately, you can find options from upholstery suppliers, such as bean bag balls.
*Important note, this floor cushion has a zipper three quarters of the way around the bottom, making it very easy to stuff.
